In order to properly wash and care for your butter. Mulberry Silk pillowcase or scrunchies you need to follow specific wash instructions.  

On the inside envelope enclosure of your pillowcase you will find a wash care tag. This tag explains how to wash and care for your pillowcase.

Pillowcases must be hand washed, in cold or 30 degrees celcius water. If you have a washer with a 'handwash' setting, you may wash your butter. pillowcase on that setting in cold water. It is recommended if using washing machine to place pillowcase in garment or mesh bag to prevent snagging.  

The pillowcase should be layed flat to dry, not in direct sunlight. Do not put pillowcases in the dryer.

Dry clean is not recommended as you are unaware of the chemicals used and the heat.

Before you go and throw it in the washer, PLEASE READ BELOW:

Because of the natural silk protein fiber in the pillowcase, detergent is not recommended. Your butter. Mulberry Silk is a natural fiber, washing with a detergent that is too acidic or alkaline causes the delicate fibers of silk to harden and deteriorate. Butter. is  hypoallergenic, repels dust mites, mold, fungus, therefor it does not need to be washed like a traditional pillowcase. If you spill something, or have a stain on your butter. silk pillowcase, or you feel as though you need to use detergent, please make sure your detergent clearly reads that it "has a Neutral PH."
 
Do not use fabric softener, dryer sheets, or dryer balls.
 
You may steam or lightly iron your butter. pillowcase. Do so on lowest setting, or place towel over pillowcase and iron over towel to prevent heat damage.
